We all want to be happy, even a newborn of us wants to be happy but one thing we all don’t remember is that it all starts with a cry. A strange thing about being properly happy is to learn how to be sad.
Every day, a lot of stuff happens to us, someone does not listen to you, someone says No, your boss goes crazy…which in one way or another, pretty hurtful.
On the surface, it might feel like we feel little sad about it and then we forget but if you look closely, that’s not a case. That’s not how many of us work. Our minds regularly shut down negative feelings and go into a stage what psychological people call … a DENIAL !!
The information that can cause you instability is refused to be accessed, making you believe the “All is well” feeling.
As a result, some of us learn to burry our feelings and develop symptoms .. it becomes hard to sleep, our body starts twitching , we develop an addiction etc.
Surprisingly the other effect of burying our feelings is also that some of us becomes extremely happy. I mean not the real happy but they learn to show that they are happy while they are not happy as such… not because they were .. but because they had to be !!!
Of course I agree, pain is a horrible thing to experience but it’s a part of our reality. What I believe is that as it’s a part of everybody’s existence, we should allow it to work on it’s own properly throughout our system.
We need to learn to feel the pain authentically … before the joys takes over !!!
Pushing problems aside is tempting but pleasure will feel it authentic only when you give pain all the space it truly deserves…
So next time when you feel like crying … go in and cry !!! Next time when you feel sad .. be sad !!! Let it work.
